Welcome and Thanks!

***** A Notice****** Thanks to so many for coming to this blog over the past year and becoming such great blog friends. I have learned much and laughed often. Yet as the author of 2 blogs I have often felt... well... disjointed. In an effort to marry the 2 sides of my life, and to hopefully continue on in my relationship with you the reader, I am now combining my blogs into 1 new one. I do so hope that you will join me here. I just love hearing your happy voices as often as I can! See you soon......................

A Mutt of What?

This guy... he's a stray that we found on Tuesday. We took care of him for a few days and found his owner yesterday. Sadly we were already in love with him by then and didn't want to let him go. So, I did what any dog lover would do.... I asked the owner if we could keep him. He said no, but when I offered some $$ he changed his mind and now he's ours! We immediately took him to the vet because he had never been and the vet said she believed him to be 4 months old. He weighed a MIGHTY 7lbs.! We named him Max and he is my sons BEST buddy. He's getting along really well with the other pups too and he is even happy to be in the crate, (probably because he was being kept outside before and was happy to be by the fire.) After a good flea bath and deworming he is settling in nicely. But the question for ya'll is.... what the heck is he??? I know there are DNA tests out there to help us know for sure but, what fun is that? Let me know what ya think. My guess... Pekingese/Pomeranian? Here's more shots to help with your analysis!

  2. I don't know what he is but he sure is cute! I think he will be happier with you than with his other owner!

  3. Our mom agrees with the Pekingese part, the other she doesn't know. He sure is a cute pup! Max is lucky to have found your family cause he wasn't being taken care of before.

  4. We think he might have a bit of Yorkie in him. We're so glad you have him - what kind of dog owner would be swayed by the offer of money for his precious pet?

BTW - Mom is reading Edgar Sawtelle (from your recommendation) and is really enjoying it.
