Welcome and Thanks!

***** A Notice****** Thanks to so many for coming to this blog over the past year and becoming such great blog friends. I have learned much and laughed often. Yet as the author of 2 blogs I have often felt... well... disjointed. In an effort to marry the 2 sides of my life, and to hopefully continue on in my relationship with you the reader, I am now combining my blogs into 1 new one. I do so hope that you will join me here. I just love hearing your happy voices as often as I can! See you soon......................

I found this and many other awesome original art posters at Sander's Art Studio online....

Have you seen the summer hit "Up"? What a precious movie! I had heard from many that it had a real component of sadness to it... so I shyed away for quite a while. But when it came to our drive-in, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I'm glad I went too. The story was really sweet and to top it off, the story had a whole subplot about dogs! Who can resist some really good dog humor? Not me. Imagine if your dog could talk, (something we've all thought about before I'm sure... Bailey would sound like Billy Bob Thornton in "Slingblade.") what would your pup have to say? "Up" creators thought about this too and created a "talking collar" for dogs. The lead dog character "Dug" was a simple fella and his words conveyed that, but he was also as loving and loyal as we know our own dogs to be. In fact he is such a lover that I am almost convinced they must have patterned Dug..
after our very own, Oliver...
Trust me... the similarities are uncanny! I hope ya'll had a chance to see this really sweet movie but if not maybe you can catch it on DVD. I know, I would like to have a copy of my very own!

  1. LOL, we loved Dug. "I do not like the cone of shame ..."

Would LOVE to check out the movie...wish we had a drive-in! How cool.

    Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

  4. Mom said she heard good things about it -

Plus, shortly befur it was released, she heard an interview on NPR with one of the khreators - she liked what she heard!

    Tank woo fur sharing!

  5. What about the leader of the pack whose voice was inadvertently set to a "chipmunk" voice?

"Uuummm... I th-think I liked his other voice"

Pixar usually releases their DVDs around Thanksgiving or so.
And thanks for the link to the really cool artwork. I'm addicted to cool illustrations like this.

  6. Oliver is very handsome. I really want to see it!
